I would definitely like to see this. I find it somewhat disturbing that the Subversion developers don’t think anything "interesting" has been added to the client since 1.5. I would argue that the improvements to merge tracking, and the improved http protocol are interesting, just to name a couple of items.

While it is true that the version can easily be spoofed, it would seem to me that the capability strings could also be spoofed, so what's the difference?
